Despite Jesse's broken foot, he still managed to put up the Christmas lights on the house. When I came home from work yesterday it was quite a pleasant surprise. I hadn't expected the lights to even go up this year with the condition Jesse is in. And then he went above and beyond. Doesn't it look great? Adds quite the charm to our home.
Saturday morning Jesse got an email from West Valley Fire Department with the good news that he had passed the written test. The email didn't say his exact score, just that he passed. It went on to tell him that the physical test will be on Dec 11th and 12th. Another email will be sent to give him the time and day on which he will test.
It'll be interesting to see what is going to happen. Will they let him test with a broken foot? If so we hope that his booted foot won't slow him down too much to the point that he doesn't get it done under the cut off time.
Also Jesse had heard from a friend that the background check for SSL would take 3 to 4 weeks. If we had heard this before Jesse broke his foot we would have been frustrated. But, now we are thinking they can take their sweet time. Give Jesse that time to heal before he gets hired.
So in the mean time we pray and have hope that things will go the way that they are suppose to. The Lord has his hand in all things and we have faith in Him.
