He sealed his fate

As we have watched our chickens grow we were noticing that one of the Barred Rock's was looking like a Rooster. But we weren't exactly sure. Until he started to crow!

We didn't want to have a rooster for two reasons. One, the Bountiful City Ordinance doesn't allow it. Second, we didn't want to deal with fertilized eggs and the possibility of baby chicks in our eggs.

So after two days of crowing Jesse put up an ad on KSL for a free Rooster and the next day he was gone. Thankfully a lady from the Country wanted him to bread with her flock of hens. So the little man is going to be super happy doing what he does best.

We were kind of sad to see him go. But it's for the best.
