Busy week for not having much to do

Due date came and went. And we are still waiting for this little man to make his arrival. Let me take you through this last week.

Monday(8/24) was Ryker's first day of 2nd grade! Holy weird. When did this kid get so big? I learned later that they have him in 3rd grade math and literacy this year. It's like he skipped 2nd grade and went onto 3rd grade already. Smarty pants. Anyway, the morning of school he was so excited and was ready super fast.
Then I went to the gym right after I dropped him off. I did some jump roping and running hoping to get things moving with the baby. Nothin'.

After the gym I went to see Sandea to see how things were coming along. I was still not dilated or thinned out. She said I'm not even to a point where I could have my membranes stripped.

That night I tried walking up and down our street to get things going. Again, nothing. I was having contractions while I was walking, but once I came inside and sat down they would stop.
The boys made a "Box Troll" costume for themselves so while Ryker was at school Cy played with it non stop. I find it so funny that they get so much amusement and entertainment from a box. Why do we buy toys? Haha.
Tuesday (8/25) Jesse went to work and I was left home wondering what to do with myself. When I was about to resign myself to doing nothing, I got a text from Heidi asking if I wanted to go to the zoo with her that day. YES!!! Something to do. So I got ready and packed a lunch for Cy and I.
We met up with Heidi, Sterling, Emily and new baby Eve to spend the day at the zoo. Hoping all the walking around would trigger some labor. It worked with Cy actually. I had gone to the zoo and then that night I went into labor and my water broke. So we were crossing our fingers that the same thing would happen with this baby.
Nope. Nothing happened.

Wednesday (8/26) I took Cy with me to go buy some nursing bras. I was feeling like I needed to keep myself busy to not let the anxious feeling take over. That afternoon I helped Jesse paint the master closet. It was getting close.

Thursday (8/27) Jesse went to his last shift of his Go. Not ever thinking we would get to that point. We thought for sure that he would have to take some sick days for the rest of the shifts. So again I needed to keep myself busy. I finished painting the rest of the closet and cleaned out all of Jesse's tools from it. I then wiped down all the shelves, vacuumed the floor and put down the plastic carpet protector stuff. And she was ready to move our clothes in. Hooray!

Friday (8/28) morning I took Ryker to school and when Jesse got home from work we went to see Sandea. She wanted to check my cervix to see if I had made any progress since Monday. And nothing had changed. We discussed what our options were. I still wasn't feeling ready to take the leap to induction. Especially with an unripe cervix. So we decided to go in at 41 weeks for Antepartum Testing. Then to schedule an induction date for Thursday (11 days past due date). So I am just hoping he'll come on his own before I have to be induced.

When Jesse and I got home we started to unpack our clothes from boxes to move into our beautiful new closet that he built. What a great feeling to have that part all done. He has worked a miracle getting it ready.

Here is a 2 for 1 picture. One of me being 41 weeks pregnant and of our closet filled and organized with our clothes. It's so great. I just love it.

Then that afternoon I got a phone call that our bed frame had arrived. YAY!!! So Jesse went and picked it up and put it together,. Awwww. Isn't  it so beautiful?
Saturday (8/29) morning Ryker had a football game at 8:00am that we all got up and went to. Still surreal that I was going to this game without a baby in my arms. I thought I would be attending it with a newborn. Nope.

Ryker is really enjoying his team. His coach is so great. I guess this coach used to coach high school football for Hawaii Prep. So he actually has good ways to teach the boys (and girl) how to make plays and such. It's really fun to see them do well.

The rest of the day the boys played with friends while I cleaned the house and Jesse worked on building shelves for the garage. After I finished cleaning the house Jesse told me to go lay down and rest. Which was the first time this whole week that I aloud myself to do that. I have been feeling stir crazy being home all week. I just needed to keep myself busy. But with nothing left to do on the house I laid down on our new bed and rested.

That night we had some friends over for dinner. Again, something to look forward to and to do.

Today (8/30) I am officially 41 WEEKS PREGNANT! Crazy. It feels so bizarre to be this far overdue with my 3rd baby. Typically mothers go earlier and earlier with the more babies they have. But apparently I do the opposite. I get later and later.

So this morning we all went to LDS hospital to do the testing on baby. They checked the amount of fluid was in there, and monitored his heartbeat for 20 minutes to see if it goes up with his movements. And everything looks perfect. Fluid levels are great and he's moving and has a good sold\id heartbeat. When it was over the nurse told me the monitor was picking up some contractions and then asked me if I was feeling them. Umm, nope I was not. So hopefully that is a sign of something soon to come.

The boys were so into the whole process. It was actually really difficult to get them NOT to touch my belly while the monitors were on me. Such curious boys.

When I first sat down on the bed Cyrus was acting really excited and said "Our baby is going to come out now!" Haha I giggled at that comment because he said it with such glee. He was a little disappointed when I told him the baby wasn't come out right them.

So the waiting continues. And I really hope that Thursday doesn't come and I have to be induced. Prayers that he comes before that point.

40 weeks!!!

Today I am 40 weeks pregnant! Unreal. I left work yesterday feeling so weird that it was my last day until I go back from Maternity leave. I'm just ticking away waiting for this baby to come. Due date came and as I am sitting here on the couch blogging its on its way out. So let the waiting game begin. This week is going to be so interesting. Riker starts 2nd grade tomorrow morning and this baby could come at any moment.

I usually go to the grocery store on Mondays to pick up food for the upcoming dinners for the week. It's hard for me to know how to plan this week out when I have no idea what to expect.

Another thing to wonder about is if Jesse will be working a shift when I go into labor. He's at the station today, Tuesday and Thursday. He might be meeting me at the hospital.

We have a good story ahead of us.
Rewind back to last night, we decided to have an evening alone since it's probably our last chance to enjoy a date night without kiddos. And being 9 months pregnant and Jesse had worked a shift the day before we both were tired. So we went to a matinee movie and then had dinner at Mikado afterwards. We were home with the boys no later than 9pm. Haha. We sound like an old couple.

Rewind back another week to the 15th when we took the boys to the drive in with our friends the Seaman's. Back before Summer started Jesse and I said we wanted to take the boys to the drive-in as a family. I had taken the boys for the 4th of July, but we didn't have Jesse with us.

Well as the summer was coming to a close and the due date approaching we realized we didn't have very many weekends left that we could go. So we were happy we still had a little bit of time left before summer came to a close.

That following Tuesday I went to diner with a few of the girls from the salon to celebrate the coming forth of the babe. I was so tickled to have these girls want to go to dinner and celebrate with me. I felt blessed to be surrounded by these salon sisters and delicious Italian pizza.

So that's kind of the wrap up to the build up to the big day. Now it's here and we wait. I was so worried I wouldn't make it through this last week, but I was able to do every last one of my clients that I had scheduled. I have just about everything else ready to go. I do need to pack a hospital bag still. But I think I'll have time to do that tomorrow.

Nursery/Master Bedroom Update

The Nursery is 95% done. And I couldn't be more pleased with how it turned out.  I still need to put pictures of the baby in the frames, paint the first letter of his name to go on the shelf and to get the vinyl décor of his name over the crib. Then it'll be all the way done. So close. But they are details that need to wait until this little guy arrives.
With a 3rd baby and a new home I decided to buy new baby bedding. I felt like the other stuff was worn out and this baby needed something new. He's getting a ton of hand-me-downs I figured he could use a nice new room.

I couldn't have put this room together if it weren't the help of my Mom, my brother Tyson and Jesse. My mom was so dear to come over on her days off and paint the walls for me. I didn't expect her to do the whole thing, I thought we could do it together. But the way our schedules were it just wasn't happening for us to find a day that we could work on it together. So she ended up doing the whole thing. Bless her heart.

With Tyson being a graphic designer, I showed him a few wall décor ideas from Pinterest and he was able to design the wall art for me. I then just had them printed on canvas through Costco and I love how they turned out. He's so talented.

Jesse is my man that I always need to hang something. It's sad how I just can't even hang a picture without his help. I'm sure I could do it, but he is just much more efficient at it than I am. So he helped me hang the shelf, curtain rod and the wall art.
The glider chair used to be covered in a light blue and white striped material. It was super stained so it just looked awful. And it wasn't the right blue to match the new nursery colors. I bought some grey polyester fabric that  will hopefully wash up better than the old cotton it was covered in.

I recovered the foot rest myself, but I actually took the chair cushions to an upholstery guy to have it covered in the new grey fabric. I originally thought I'd try it by myself, then I asked my grandma who wasn't sure about it doing it. So then I asked a seamstress and she suggested the upholstery people. So I'm so happy I went that route because it looks like a brand new chair.
Master Bedroom. We got carpet on Thursday. YAY!!! I came home from work and the carpet layers were just barely leaving. I walked into the bedroom and took a big sniff. There is just something about new carpet that I just love.

The bedroom is really close to being done. We need to put some lighting up on the wall and get furniture in there. Then it's ready to move in. YAY.

The pictures just don't do justice to how awesome it looks. Jesse has done a FABULOUS job. He's amazing.
The walk in closet is really close too. I think he's done with all the shelving, just needs to be caulked in, some base boards put in and painted.  It'll be so nice to unpack our clothes and feel like we have some actual living space of our own instead of living between 3 floors.

Jesse switched gears a few weeks ago and decided to fully get the bedroom and closet part done. He was working so hard on the bathroom part of the master that he decided that part can wait because we need more of a bedroom before a bathroom.

I love how things are turning out. Jesse mentioned to me the other night that he was proud of us and what we designed and came up with. I couldn't agree more. It's not an easy thing to figure out, but when we put our heads together I feel like we come up with great ideas. Granted there are moments in there that our ideas butt heads. Overall I think we make a great team.

I'll post pictures again when we have moved things into the bedroom and closet. Which should be soon.

August is flying by already...

Here we are already in the middle of August and I just can't believe it. I knew this summer would be filled with busy things and that would make the time go by fast. But here we are one week from the first day of school and I can't wrap my mind around it. It feels like we should have another month before school starts. Which also means another month that this baby will be here. But his due date is the day before school..... aka THIS Sunday! For real?

The bedroom remodel has been something that Jesse is focused on so much. Bless his heart. This man is just one dedicated hard worker. Even between shifts he's working on it. He decided to put the bathroom part of the master bedroom on hold and to just focus on the bedroom and walk-in closet. That way we can move our stuff in there soon. And we can move our clothes into the closet and the bed into the bedroom. Which will be so nice since we are currently sleeping in the basement, using the laundry room as a closet (which is on the main floor) and then showering and getting ready upstairs. Living between 3 floors hasn't been terrible, but not super convenient. I think once the baby comes it'll feel really inconvenient. So Jesse has been working hard so we can "move in".

He truly is the greatest husband. How did I get so lucky? The work he has been doing is just superb. It is so amazing to me that he knows how to do EVERYTHING. All the plumbing, electrical, sheetrock, mudding, painting, tile, shelving.... the list goes on. I think I forget how much he knows and I tend to ask too many questions. Which can drive him batty. But because he's so great, he has such patience with me and all my questions and requests. I just love him and so grateful that he's mine.
When I'm not working my butt off at the salon or around the house I try to find time to put my feet up. Especially since my ankles were starting to show signs of swelling.
Pretty soon, I'll have 3 of these boys to snuggle me during movie night.
With summer coming to a close we realized that we hadn't been able to go to the drive in theater as a whole family. I had taken the boys for the 4th of July, but Jesse was working. And it was on our bucket list for the summer. So we went Saturday night and invited our friends (The Seamans) to join us. Amber is a girl that I work with and we have been friends since the day we met. Best thing is our kids get along. It's honestly like we have carbon copy lives. She just had her 3rd baby and her other two kiddos are the same ages as our boys. Anyway, basically whenever we get together with them we have the best of time.
Yesterday I hit 39 weeks. Like I said earlier I can't believe that I am to this point already. This has been the fastest pregnancy I have ever experienced. I think because I went through the entire summer it made it go by fast. Summer just does that, so I think I was distracted by summer activities. And plus we threw moving into a new home as well. Lots and lots of distractions. I still have the hardest time imagining what life is going to be with 3 kids. I have moments where I feel confident and excited. But other moments where I feel overwhelmed with what is coming. I actually had an emotional break down today. I felt everything hit me and I just cried and cried. I'm going to blame it pregnancy hormones. Haha.

But on the positive note, I have to be grateful that I have felt so good throughout this entire pregnancy. Grateful that this boy if healthy and growing so well. Grateful that the Lord sees me fit to raise 3 boys.
I was curious so see this baby's progress over the course of 39 weeks. Obviously I couldn't put together 39 pictures, but I put together a small time-lapse collage. Looking back on these it's crazy to see where I have come from. I remember feeling so "HUGE" when I was about half way along. But I barely look pregnant.

Remember me posting that Andrew and Emily were expecting their 2nd baby on Aug 24? The day after my due date? Well this last Wednesday, Aug 12 baby Genevieve  (Evie for short) was born. I didn't have the chance to go visit her in the hospital due to a busy work schedule. So my first time meeting her was last night at Mom and Dad's house for Smith Dinner. She's so tiny, perfect and sweet at 7lbs and 19.5 inches long.

We were all giggling about me holding the baby and the only way to hold her is to have he sitting on my baby bump. The cousins are already "close".

I'm bummed that this picture is blurry, but I still had to share it. I have been so curious how Cyrus will be with a little one around since he has been the youngest in our family for 4 1/2 years. But he is just tickled by this little girl. He can't seem to get enough of her. It's going to be so precious to see these two boys with our own little one.

I think the next time I make a post it'll be when our little one has arrived. Until then, pray all goes well and I can keep this baby in until I finish this week's worth of work.

Pioneer Weekend

We had the funniest weekend celebrating Pioneer Day. I took Friday and Saturday off and Jesse's 6 day break was over that weekend so we were all able to be together as a family. Gotta love when that happens.

We certainly kept ourselves busy. So prepare for a long post.

Thursday; July 23
We thought about going to the Bountiful parade that night after I got off work. But now that we aren't living right off of Main Street, it's not as convenient to just walk up to Main Street and watch it. We would have to be like every other person in Bountiful and park far away and stake out our spot. And since Jesse and I aren't too into parading we both weren't too willing to go  to all that effort. The heat and the crowds were just not sounding all the enticing.

Instead, we went to dinner as a family and then went to the Bountiful Carnival. I thought we would beat the crowds, but we didn't. The lines to buy tickets were insane. And some of the lines for the activities and rides were very slow moving. Luckily the rides for the kids weren't quite as along so the boys were able to ride a few rides before it got dark.

This picture makes me laugh because it's sometimes impossible to get a good selfie picture of our whole family. And Cy's face is just killing me. What a goof.

Ready to ride.

Cy has been known to get motion sick. Countless times he has thrown up in a car ride (and not just my car). So when I was watching him on these spinning rides I was SURE he was going to lose his dinner. He'd go from laughing so hard, to this sick look on his face. But then once the ride would stop he'd be all smiles again. No dinner lost. Phew. Maybe he has grown out of it?
As it got darker the park started to get less crowded because everyone was headed up to Mueller Park to watch the fireworks. Again we didn't feel like getting ourselves stuck in a traffic jam late at night so we didn't go. But the boys still had a few more tickets to spend. So we went to the fishing pond.  This brings back so many memories of when I was a kid. This was my favorite thing,
After the boys fished for their prizes we headed to the truck. On the drive home Jesse decided to go up 1800 South to see if we could see some of the fireworks when they started because it was almost 10pm. We were able to watch a few as we sat in the truck on the side of the road. But then we decided not to stay too long and to get home.

Friday; July 24

We all slept in that morning and once we woke up and had breakfast we started to pack all our belongings for what we would need for the weekend. We were sticking with the tradition of camping out in the Smith's backyard.

Also Heidi's brother, Matt was here from Kansas visiting with his family because his son is very interested in attending BYU and wanted to check it out. While they were here they stayed with Mike and Heidi which happened to land over our holiday weekend. So we got to spend it with them.

Those that could went on a hike that afternoon up in Big Cottonwood Canyon to Cecret Lake. It was about a mile and a half round trip hike, so perfect for the littlest and preggers.

The Lake was so calm and beautiful. And because we don't get to see the Bohm very often we had to get a group shot of all of us by it.
I LOVE this picture of my family. It turned out so perfect. And to imagine that in 4 weeks there will be a 3rd boy among us. So weird and awesome at the same time. 4 weeks is nothing. He's going to be here before we know it. This pregnancy has gone by way too fast so I feel like I should have more time. But we don't. I can't keep putting off what needs to be done. I am almost done with the nursery. Just need to get all the clothes and personal items ready. Oh and I should probably pack a hospital bag.
The hike back down I caught sight of these wild flower fields and thought they were just so pretty.
Once we made it back home we all started cooking dinner and setting up our tents for the night. The boys were SOOO excited. They just love to sleep in the tent. I personally was worried about sleeping well on a blow up mattress. But thankfully I was able to get comfortable.

Once it got dark we roasted marshmallows to make some s'mores. Funny thing was Dad threw away the fire pit they had so we roasted marshmallows over the grill with coals. Which actually worked out really well. I had to laugh at the boys when they were covered in melted marshmallows. The picture doesn't show it very well, but they had a ring around their mouths.
Then it was firework time. Jesse figured out how to do long exposure on his new phone and he got some really cool pictures.

Especially with the sparklers.

Then the whole gang wanted to play ghost in the graveyard. But my pregnant boring self was not feeling it. For one I didn't want to run and I was just exhausted and wanted to go to bed. I felt like I was being such a party pooper. But I'm blaming it on the belly. All I could think about was getting in my bed and sleeping.

Saturday; July 25
I think one of my favorite parts of this tradition is all of us waiting up together and making the best breakfast together. It's a buffet feast of the yummiest breakfast foods everyone has contributed. It's just the best.

We cleaned up and hung out just talking. The Bohms actually left for home once breakfast was over. So with them gone it seemed so quiet. Then Tyson and Tayler left to go hang out with her family. Those of us left sat in the backyard talking while the three boys ran around.

Before we knew it we were hungry for lunch. So we warmed up left over breakfast and had round 2 of breakfast. Haha. I think I could eat breakfast food for all three meals.

Once we ate we all got ready to go swimming. We planned on going to the same pool we went on the 4th of July. Mike had asked Cy the day before if he was going to jump off the high dive. Cy said No.

But as we were about to leave for the pool, Cy said to me "I'm gonna jump off the high dive". Not really believing him I just encouraged him and played along.

Well we got to the pool and I couldn't put his sunscreen on fast enough or get my camera out because he was dying to go get on the high dive.

He promptly walked over there (actually ran and we had to remind him to walk) and climbed up the ladder and walked out onto the edge of the board. My heart started pumping but still expected him to take one look down at the water and turn around and climb back down. Well he stood up there for several seconds bouncing. By this point he's caught several people's attention and now had an audience. Well before I know it... he JUMPS!  Haha.

What a brave little kid. I love this about him but also worry what it'll bring in the future. Hopefully we can direct it in a positive manner.

He did it 2 or 3 more times later that day. Along with jumping off the low dive numberless times. It's kinda awesome that my 4 year old can swim in the deep end. It's quite reassuring,
Jesse and his dad spent a good majority of the time we were there flipping the boys in the air. Ryker and Cyrus just LOVED it.

We spent about 2 hours there and then Andrew and Emily had to head to her family's that night. So my little family made it back to the house and we ordered a pizza for dinner. We then had to clean up our own stuff and head home. Well almost home.

Jesse's friend from work apparently was turning 40 that day and a few guys from the fire station were throwing him a party. So Jesse wanted to make an appearance and show some support. So we dropped our stuff off at home. Basically Jesse unloaded everything while the boys slept in the truck and I showered and got ready.

We then headed up to Layton to wrap up our weekend.

4th of July {2015}

It's middle of summer and it is hot, hot, HOT! Just in time for the 4th of July. And being 33 weeks pregnant. The boys really wanted to go to the fireworks at Englewood Golf Course Friday the 3rd. Then I had plans of going to the Centerville Parade, swimming and the drive-in movie on the 4th. But when it came down to it I couldn't stay up late for the fireworks and get up early for the parade. So I told the boys they had to choose either the fireworks or the parade. They both chose the parade. Which in the end I was happy about.

Biggest bummer about the 4th this year was Jesse was scheduled to work that day. Boo! But thankfully he's off on the 24th.

The boys and I met up with my friend Harmoni and walked over the to the beginning of the parade. And man was it hot. I think I had a nice layer of sweat on me by the time we made it to the start of the parade. Then by that time we got to sit in the sun and jut melt. I laugh because thousands and thousands of people are there for the parade voluntarily torturing themselves in such heat.

Of course the boys done seem to mind at all. They were happy to gather up all the candy being thrown at them.
They also got free sunglasses. Which I'm not even sure where they ended up by the end of the day. But they were useful while we were at the parade.

I love this picture of us together, I just wish Jesse could have been there with us. But we should be grateful that he was off saving lives. And putting out fires that people had started from fireworks.

After the parade was over I headed to the grocery store to pick up some stuff for the day. My friend Harmonic actually invited us over to her parents house for breakfast, but I had to decline because I had other plans with the Smith's. If there would have been more time in the day I totally would have stayed.

Once I got home with the groceries, I packed up the truck with everything we would need for the rest of the day. Snacks, water, food, swimming suits, towels, change of clothes and bedding for the bed of the truck during the drive-in.

And then we were off. We arrived at Mike and Heidi's around noon and we all ate lunch. Then we headed off to the Crestwood pool near their house.

Once we were settled, I had to get a picture with Emily and her baby bump. These babies are due a day apart. Crazy huh? Its going to be fun watching these cousins grow up together. Especially since she is having a girl. It'll be interesting to see how she interacts with all these boys around.
At this pool they blow the whistle every hour-ish to make everyone get out for about 5 minutes. Dad caught this picture as we were all sitting on the edge waiting to get back in.
K, really proud of Ryker for this. Last year he was super nervous to jump off the high dive. He wouldn't even do it. Not even if we bribed him with money. But this year he did it without any hesitation. Again and again and again. Its so great to see him progress and gain my confidence in himself.
And Cy is just fearless. I don't now very many 4 year olds that'll jump off the diving board into deep water and swim to the side. He's better when he rolls onto his back, but he seems to insist on doing it on his belly.
After 3 hours of play we got kicked out. Not because we were in trouble, but because the pool was closing early. It was so nice to play in the water to get cooled down from the 100 degree weather.
Back at home we ate dinner and watched the weather start to turn. It got windy and cloudy. We started to worry that it was going to rain. So we started second guessing if we should go to the drive-in.  So as the night went on we watched to see if we should chance it.

In the meantime, Heidi got some Sparklers out for the boys to play with. Not as exciting if it were dark out, but they didn't care.
The wind seemed to calm down and I decided to take the chance and go to the movie. I popped 6 bags of popcorn for us all to share and we took off.

We got all set up and ready for the movie.  I love having the truck, for this reason. I brought a blow up mattress, a sheet a bunch of blankets and pillows. We were really cozy,

Sterling and Cyrus are such buddies. They were all cozy together.

Our whole gang. Photo credit goes to Heidi though. It's too bad she couldn't be in the picture with us.

After the movie was over we all headed home. We were all too tired to stay for the second one. The boys fell asleep within minutes of the drive home. I would have too if I wasn't the driver.

I made it home safely and got the truck unloaded and the boys in their beds. As I got myself into bed I couldn't help but feel like we had the best day. Oh and grateful we had 1;00pm church the next day.

Also, I feel blessed to call America my home. It's truly a blessed nation.

Desk Dilemma

Moving in we were without a desk. Reason being was because Jesse had built the desk to be a part of the kitchen. It was removable, but with a concrete countertop on it there was NO moving it without an entire crew. So we left it.

In this new house we want to do a similar thing with the kitchen. So knowing that we were going to building a desk at some point, we didn't want to spend alot of money on a brand new one. So we started to look on ksl.com. After awhile we got distracted from it by talking about the master bedroom/bathroom remodel.

Well one day I came home from work to this desk.....

...Eek. Jesse bought it because it was cheap($40) and we needed a desk. Which I understand. But as it sat there the more and more I grew to loath this desk. I didn't even know how to make it cute. So I did something that I was scared he would kill me for.

While he was working on Tuesday I searched on ksl.com for another desk. And I put the ugly one on there to sell for $25. I got now bites from it. So I put it on there for free, hoping someone would come and pick it up for me so I wouldn't have to worry about hauling it out of the house myself. Still no luck. It was THAT ugly. Nobody wanted it for FREE.

So I took matters into my own hands and I got the desk onto the dolley and outside to the truck. Then I asked our next door neighbor, Steve to get it on the truck for me. And he graciously did. YAY!!! Then off to the DI I went.

Such a relief when that thing was gone.

That night I went out to Draper to pick up this desk...
So much better right?

Mike and Heidi met me there and helped get it onto the truck and into my house.

Here's the kicker though.... This desk and bookshelf are practically brand new. The seller, Pete (who was such a nice guy) said they hardly used it and they just needed to get it out of their house because they were moving. So get this I got both of these for $50!!!! Yup. That's right. I did good.

After getting in the house I stayed up to get everything unpacked and into it's place. So when Jesse got home he could see it all set up.

I actually ended up sending him a picture and talking about it with him on the phone that night. I thought he would be so mad. BUT he wasn't. Especially when I told him how much I got both the desk and bookshelf for. He was a little annoyed by it, but said he was happy because I was happy. Phew, I was relieved. I felt bad going behind his back and doing such a sneaky thing. But in the end it all worked out so great. I'm very happy with the desk.

Now our little breakfast nook table is in the large dining area. We put the desk in the area where the table was. So our next thing we'll need to get is a big dining table.

I'll have to post pictures of our bedroom too. It's coming along. Slower than I'd hoped. But the rough in has been so much work for Jesse. I'm hoping once all of that is done we can make some large leaps in progress. I so badly want it done before this baby comes.

This last week we decided to move our stuff out of the bedroom and into the basement. Still living out of boxes. Suitcases and/or clean laundry baskets. It'll be nice to have a closet.
